A Night at the Oscars for the Maryland Center for the Arts!

Every year our charitable contribution to the creation of a new Maryland Center for the Arts has us photographing fabulous celebrity dancers who give their time and effort to raising money.  We started early this year by creating head shots matching the theme of the gala.  I selected an “old Hollywood” or film noire portrait style for the dancer’s head shots.  This style is exemplified, some even say it was created by George Hurrell, famous for his lush portraits of Hollywood actors in the 40’s and 50’s.
