Meeting Innkeepers at the Association of Hospitality Professionals in Norfolk, Virginia
We have a passion for travel and as photographers, we have always loved the opportunity to discover small towns across America and meet new people. Bed and Breakfasts bring those twin passions together in one package! We have been commercial photographers for many years, but we did not think about Bed and Breakfast photography as a profession until the owners of the Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm in Crozet, Virginia persuaded us to re-join them a few weeks after our stay.
We went from guests to partners in marketing with longtime innkeepers, Dick and Hayden. Now, many years later, we are part of the bed and breakfast industry with a goal of creating the visual content innkeepers use to grab attention and engage guests with rich imagery.
Hundreds of hospitality professionals converged in Norfolk, Virginia this week to talk trends, learn, inspire and have fun! Innkeepers, as you would guess, are a very social group. We enjoyed great music, dancing, cocktails and lots of fabulous food at the Hilton Norfolk. This spectacular new hotel just off the waterfront in Norfolk is a must stay!
In addition to being a presenter, we were the official photographers of the Knowledge Summit. Here is a small edit of the images we created of AIHP Norfolk 2018!
